James Devins (* 1873 im County Sligo, Irland; † 20. September 1922) war ein irischer Politiker der Sinn Féin. Er war von Mai 1921 bis zu seinem Tod im September 1922 Teachta Dála (Abgeordneter) im Dáil Éireann, dem Unterhaus des irischen Parlaments (Oireachtas).

Biografie

Devins war bei den Wahlen 1921 für die Sinn Féin ohne Gegenkandidat im Wahlkreis Sligo–Mayo East in den Dáil gewählt worden. Devins lehnte den Anglo-Irischen Vertrag ab. Bei den Wahlen 1922 wurde er wiedergewählt.cite-ref-1[1] Er kämpfte im irischen Bürgerkrieg und wurde am 20. September 1922 von den irischen Streitkräften ohne Gerichtsverhandlung hingerichtet.

Sein Enkel war der Politiker Jimmy Devins (* 1948).
